CarobHouse had its early beginnings in Toronto, Canada, in the early 1990's. While conducting laboratory research in the food industry, the founder of CarobHouse, Luiz Carmine Giunti, was moved by a strong desire to develop a natural alternative to chocolate that was as flavourful as it was nutritional. Carmine saw the potential of such a product for people who seek to eat a healthy diet and especially those who want to reduce their intake of sugars (saccaharose) and stimulants. 

In consultation with laboratories in Switzerland, France and Netherlands, Carmine refined the development of his carob products. When Carmine returned to Brazil, after more than a decade in Canada, he discovered that, in Brazil, the merits of carob as a healthy chocolate substitute were relatively unknown. In 1999, in Curitiba, State of Parana, CarobHouse was founded-the fruit of an entrepreneurial and visionary spirit. 

After many years of researching and developing its products, CarobHouse is, today, a unique and innovative company producing carob in bars. From its humble beginnings, CarobHouse has grown and now has representative offices in Canada, Portugal, and across Brazil, through a network of distribution channels.
